The innovation, explained in short

Sucking is an innate baby reflex – and, as confirmed by Developmental Pedagogue Martina Wojna, important for child development. It does however depend on what baby is sucking. A soother is far better than a finger, toy or household item – not least because they are easier to stop using and because they clearly reduce (as has been proven) the risk of SIDS (cot death).

But there are decisive differences in soothers.

Standard soothers from other manufacturers can literally exert too much pressure in the mouth:

• the thick teat neck makes the gap between jaw and teeth rows too large,
• the shape and position of the baby teeth can be adversely affected,
• which at a later stage also affects the permanent teeth,
